Little Blue Man: Gate Three

I am making seven posts between my dad’s birthday and Father’s day.  This year Terence Roy Waterfield would have been 90.  We lost him when he was 78.  It takes a long time to process losing a loved one.

Gate Three is about about Naval Training. My Dad served in the Royal Navy between 1948 and 1956.  However it felt like he as always in the Navy since he was a central player in the RNA (Royal Naval Association) in Coventry for so many years. I spoke with my Dad’s fellow ‘shipmates’ about their memories of training for the Navy. This film explores men and physical training. I am reminded of the intense physical training I have done during my performance career that has required immense commitment and stamina.  This must be something I have inherited from him.

Here is the third short film.
